The Southern Environmental Law Center is currently accepting applications for an Associate Attorney position in its Chapel Hill, NC. office. This entry-level position is open to recent law graduates, attorneys completing clerkships, and practicing attorneys with a start date of as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an organization that is successfully addressing some of the most important and challenging environmental and public health issues in the South and the nation. Associates gain valuable experience and knowledge working with more senior attorneys on litigation and legal advocacy in state and federal courts and before regulatory agencies. The term for associate positions is two years with the potential for a third year.
All SELC staff members are required to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 prior to working in any of our offices. All staff are currently working a hybrid work model of 3 in-office working days, at a minimum, and up to 2 remote working days per week.
- A strong academic background and personal commitment to SELC’s mission.
